On this page…
The fees for my services are at the bottom of this page, but first there is information about:
Insurance benefits that could potentially be used to assist with paying for therapy
Discounts based on frequency available to all clients who are self-pay/out-of-network
Sliding scale fee possibility for those for whom cost would be the reason they would not be able to access treatment
Insurance
At this time, I am expected to begin accepting Aetna insurance in-network as of July 1, 2025.
Other than this, however, I am not in-network for any insurance.
Therapy is self-pay first, after which you can take a superbill (itemized receipt) from me and submit it to your insurance company for partial reimbursement depending on your out-of-network mental health benefits, and out-of-network deductible if any.
Insurance is confusing… if you want to understand it more clearly, check out this article by my friend and fellow therapist Caitlin Dunham which explains mental health care benefits for prospective clients.
Discounts*
I know that therapy and consultation can be expensive. I also believe that more frequent meetings are truly helpful, especially for therapy. (See this article by a therapist who takes a strong stance about this: “Real Psychotherapy Needs to Happen at Least Once a Week.“)
For that reason, as a provider, I currently offer a discount for all self-pay/out-of-network clients for the specific purpose of making more-frequent therapy more accessible. Here is the policy:
Any therapy session you have at any time within a calendar week (Sun to Sat), where it is the case that you also had a therapy session at any time within the previous calendar week, will be discounted by $20, to make weekly therapy a bit more financially accessible.
If you are interested in doing therapy twice a week, which I have found profoundly helpful sometimes as a therapist and also in my own healing journey as a client, there will be an additional $10 discount.
Any professional consultation you have at any time within a calendar week (Sun to Sat), where it is the case that you also had a consultation session at any time within the previous TWO calendar weeks, will be discounted by $20. (If you would like to set up a twice-monthly consultation schedule, rather than every-other-week schedule, I’m happy to discuss this and apply the discount.)
* Discounts have the potential of changing in the future. Active clients will be given at least one, likely more, months’ notice before any change would affect them.
Scholarship/Sliding Scale
If you would like to access care from Quiet Light Therapy, whether because you are drawn to IFS or to some of my specialties or aspects of my own personal identity and journey, but the fees listed above would be prohibitive of the possibility, please contact me to begin a discussion about potentially receiving therapy on a Sliding Scale fee. This means that you would receive a discounted rate for each of your sessions, and we would document the reason why you needed this scholarship in order to access therapy.
Offering a Sliding Scale allows therapists to serve some clients whom might not otherwise be able to access care at the same level as the general population. This is important to me because social justice is an important part of who I am, and I see access to therapy as an aspect of social justice.
Fees*
Individual therapy – regular 53-minute appointment ~ $175
Individual therapy – intake appointment ~ $199
Group therapy – 90-minute meeting ~ $50
One-on-one professional consultation – 55 minutes ~ $155
* Fees and discounts are subject to change in the future. Active clients will be given at least one, likely more, months’ notice before any change would affect them.
